Travelling to Bath

From Bristol Airport:

Bristol International Airport is 20 miles from Bath.

Taxis: Airport passengers can travel to Bath by taxi or public transport. A 24 hour taxi service is run by Arrow Cars. Taxis can be pre-booked online or by calling the Arrow Cars office at 01275 475000. The office is located opposite the airport terminal at the arrivals end of the building. In 2016, Arrow Cabs quoted a fare of £50 for a journey from Bristol International Airport to the centre of Bath.

Bus and Train: An airport coach service, Bristol International Flyer, picks up passengers outside the airport up to 4 times an hour from 03.05 to 23.45, 7 days a week. Passengers should alight at Bristol Temple Meads train station, to catch one of the many frequent train services into Bath. A combined ticket for the Bristol International Flyer and train to Bath can be purchased online at www.fgwtickets.co.uk. Or, separate tickets can be purchased on the day aboard the Bristol International Flyer for coach ticket and at Bristol Temple Meads train station for train ticket. The journey from Bristol Temple Meads to Bath Spa railway station is approximately 10 to 15 minutes.


From Heathrow Airport:

London's Heathrow Airport is 100 miles east of Bath.

Bus: A National Express coach service operates from the Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station to the centre of Bath with a travelling time of up to 180 minutes. Tickets can be pre-booked online.

Train: The Heathrow Express train service operates from Heathrow Airport to London's Paddington Station every 15 minutes, with a journey time of just 15 minutes. From Paddington Station, you can take a train to Bath Spa. It is recommended that you book train journeys well in advance, as there is a considerable difference in price if you wait until the day of travel. From Gatwick Airport:

London's Gatwick Airport is 140 miles east of Bath.

Bus: A National Express coach service operates from Gatwick Airport via Heathrow Airport to Bath. Tickets can be pre-booked online.

Train: Trains run from Gatwick Airport to Reading Train Station. Change here for a train to Bath Spa. It is recommended that you book train journeys well in advance, as there is a considerable difference in price if you wait until the day of travel. From London:

Bus: A National Express coach service operates from London Victoria Coach Station to Bath. Tickets can be pre-booked online.
